We have inspected the large Silver Maple in the extension(right of way, city-owned) in front of the home at 5771 15th Street. This tree is in decline, and has had large limbs fail already including on to the homeowner's vehicle. There are also multiple different kinds of
fungal fruiting bodies on the trunk and base of the tree, including Ganoderma, which indicate continued decomposition of the base of the tree. This tree is very large and would cause considerable damage to
the resident's home, or to the home directly across the street. We recommend that the city of Detroit removes this tree as soon as possible to prevent injury, death or property damage.from forestry division: 11/12/23
