Pinellas Trail IssueAcknowledgedPinellas Trl Saint Petersburg, Florida, 33710 - St. PetersburgOver the past two years I have issues with the crosswalks on 64th Street South, 5th Ave N and 9th Ave N. All three of the crosswalks have flashing yellow lights to be used to cross the street. At least 7 or 8 times the cars that are on my right side don’t stop and I’m always in the middle of the crosswalk. When I press the button for the crosswalk the car on my right side either has plenty of time to stop for me or no one is even there when I press the button and they carelessly speed up and on multiple times the car is less than two feet away from hitting me. Has Pinellas County ever considered installing red flashing lights instead of having the yellow lights? These crosswalks are extremely dangerous.

I am a Pinellas County Park Ranger, assigned to the Pinellas Trail. During my patrols on the Trail, I have recently discovered that there is a large homeless camp located on private property, at 11605 132 Ave N, in Seminole. The homeless are gaining access to the camp site off the Pinellas Trail, at PT marker 0341, just south of the Ulmerton Road overpass.
The registered owner of the property is listed as Geneva Tre Waters, and comprises a field approximately two blocks long, from 130th Ave N to 132 Ave N and bordered by the Pinellas Trail. The PCSO is the contracted law enforcement agency for this address, please refer this issue directly to them.
Thank you.Jonathan Skinner
