    Chemical smell appears to be emanating from the Howco facility down the street. About a 2 or 3 out of 10 in terms of odor. Slight west to east wind is blowing it to the neighboring block. Smell is no longer discernable down at 13th Ave S on the other side of the pond.

    The air in Childs Park is once again filled with the strong smell of oil and gas coming from HowCo Environmental Services. This has been happening daily for years and it’s still happening despite their permit expiring on August 3rd.

    The Florida DEP has already confirmed they’re operating without authorization, yet they continue business as usual.

    THIS IS ILLEGAL.

    Meanwhile, our neighborhood is forced to breathe in toxic fumes that burn the throat and pollute the air. Children and senior citizens live right across the street from the plant. You can see that other people in the neighborhood are reporting the same thing, so my question is this:

    Why is the county not taking action against this company despite knowing they are operating without a permit?

    We need immediate enforcement and shutdown of HowCo’s operations. This community deserves clean air and accountability, not continued lawbreaking and health risks.

    Once again, the air quality is very poor in Childs Park. I could literally write a new request every day about this issue because the gas / oil / chemical smell is happening daily at various times. HowCo continues to operate without a permit and nothing is being done about it. Since this is an oil and gas smell, should this be reported to the local fire department?

    Chemical smell coming from the HowCo facility today. Not as strong as recent days but still very nasty and makes it untenable to be outside for an extended period in my yard.

    Chemical smell coming from the HowCo facility again today. I walked that section of the industrial corridor on the Pinellas Trail and confirmed that the odor is only present near that facility. How are they still operating and what's being done about it? Is there a way to escalate this to the DEP?

    The owner of the house works on cars everyday and sells them. But he's using some type of spray or other strong chemical and the fumes are so strong, I get the worst headaches from the fumes. This is a residential neighborhood and we shouldn't have to deal with fumes like this.

    The Rebel gas station at this location consistently has a foul garbage smell likely coming from its dumpsters. The smell is so strong you can smell it from within the Home Depot next-door. This has been a problem for years.

    Today the smell from the HowCo facility is a 10/10 in terms of strength. The smell is coming into the back rooms of my house even with the windows closed and it smells like a strong chemical odor in my bedroom. It's one thing when I can't go outside due to this facility, it is another entirely when I can't even be in my own home without having to deal with it. How many times do the residents need to complain before something is done?

    I own the house behind the one I’m reporting. But the house i am reporting has a new RV in the backyard. Not the biggest size but one that’s livable in. The PROBLEM is when I’m in my backyard in my fence line I smell a VERY BAD URINE SMELL AND FECES SMELL. only new thing is that rv so I don’t think they waste is being done correctly. Please fix it

    On December 4th around 6 in the evening I was bitten by a dog at 445 Hamden Dr. (Dockside condominiums) I was using the elevator to go down from the 6th floor.
    Tracy (a renter) and her dog (Ace) were going to use the elevator at the 5th floor, She changed her mind, but her dog wouldn't get out of the elevator. (The dog did not want to go with her, and was not on a leash). As she was trying to convince him to come out, the dog turned instantly vicious and bit my hand. She then got in the middle of me and her dog to separate us, and she ended up getting bit as well. The dog finally left the elevator and she went with him. She was dripping blood pretty bad.
