E Baseline Rd & N Lake Park Dr Gilbert, AZ, 85234, USA - GilbertRequest for the installation of a protected green left-turn arrow for vehicles traveling eastbound on Baseline Road and turning left onto East Valley Auto Drive. I work at this intersection and witness traffic conditions there daily. Over time, I have personally observed MANY vehicle collisions, including a serious rollover accident involving children. Based on what I have consistently seen, the collisions are overwhelmingly caused by drivers traveling east on Baseline attempting to turn left into Mesa (onto East Valley Auto Drive) without a protected signal phase. Alternatively, I have not observed similar accidents involving vehicles turning south into Gilbert. The pattern of collisions appears specific to the unprotected left turn into Mesa, where drivers must judge gaps in fast-moving oncoming traffic. This creates a recurring and preventable safety hazard. Because Baseline Road serves as the boundary between Mesa (north side) and Gilbert (south side), I understand there may be questions regarding jurisdiction or cost responsibility. However, the safety issue is clear and ongoing. I would respectfully suggest that, if funding responsibility is a concern, the cities consider sharing the cost, as emergency response resources from both Mesa and Gilbert are already being used at this intersection. I have seen responses from both Mesa PD and Gilbert PD, with Mesa PD responding most frequently. Given the documented collision pattern and the risk to families and commuters, the addition of a protected left-turn arrow would be a reasonable and necessary traffic safety improvement.

S Columbus Dr & E Warner Rd Gilbert, AZ, 85296, USA - Gilbert
There is a serious traffic safety concern along Warner Road, specifically between Val Vista Drive and Greenfield Road.
I live backing up to Warner Road and have observed a significant increase in speeding over time. Due to the limited number of traffic signals in this stretch, many drivers appear to treat this corridor as a high-speed pass-through. Vehicles frequently travel well above the posted speed limit.
There is a pedestrian/bike trail crossing in this area where I have personally witnessed multiple vehicles run the red light. This is extremely concerning, as the crossing is intended to protect pedestrians and cyclists. The current behavior presents a substantial risk of injury or fatality.
The pattern of excessive speeding and red light violations has made this stretch feel unsafe, and it appears enforcement or traffic-calming measure may be necessary.
Can the area possibly be evaluated for:
-Increased traffic enforcement
-Speed monitoring
-Signal timing review
-Or potential traffic-calming measuresThis has become an ongoing safety issue rather than an isolated occurrence.

531-533 N Lindsay Rd Gilbert, Arizona, 85234 - Gilbert
I would like to request consideration for installing a pedestrian push button at the intersection of Juniper Avenue and Lindsey Road to allow cyclists to safely activate the walk signal when turning left from Juniper onto Lindsey.
Currently, when traveling south on Lindsey to access the Western Canal trail crossing just south of the intersection, cyclists must remain on the sidewalk to reach the crossing. Without a pedestrian activation button, it is difficult to safely trigger the signal to make the left turn. This situation also creates tension with pedestrians who are understandably concerned about bikes using the sidewalk.
Adding a pedestrian push button accessible to cyclists would improve safety for everyone—cyclists, pedestrians, and drivers—by providing a clear and predictable way to navigate the intersection.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Please let me know if any additional information would be helpful.

N Mcqueen Rd Gilbert, Arizona, 85233 - GilbertRequesting a traffic study to determine if a new light would increase traffic flow and increase safety at McQueen and Juniper. Lots of school traffic for Playa Del Rey Elementary uses this intersection. And vehicles traveling south on McQueen and turning left onto Juniper make it hard for vehicles traveling west on Juniper attempting to turn left onto McQueen. Seems similar to the light further south at McQueen and Cullumber. Thank you for considering.

2509 S Velvendo Dr Gilbert, AZ, 85295, USA - GilbertThe roads in Velvendo were recently resurfaced. Upon completion of the project, they left behind the traffic signs with flags and they have been sitting in the community for several weeks (some of which have blown down). Also the speed hump was painted over the white arrows on one side.

101 N Oak St Gilbert AZ 85233, United States - GilbertThe town has spent a great deal of time, money, and effort, to fix the water drainage problem on N Oak, between W Elliot and W Park Ave.
I’ve been watching the progress, in the section of the street located at 101 N Oak, along with several other of my neighbors in the area, and we can see where the design Gilbert has decided to go with is going be a hazard. There has already been two near accidents and one person actually went up on the curb into the gravel, and they haven’t even finished the construction yet!
At this location there used to be street parking for the old library, and then the AZCEND/CAP office.
Now, about halfway down the street, there is a section of curb that comes out almost to the middle of the street then goes back in again. So now either way one enters Oak St they are going to have to maneuver their way around this eyesore, it make’s no sense.
They should’ve either, made the entire street wider or, bring the curb out, even with the front of the Community Center and leave an area for foliage between the curb and the sidewalk, like that building is, and it would’ve looked really nice. And visitors could park in the back.
I can’t imagine what it will be like when the through traffic resumes here, it would’ve made more sense to just widen the whole section when you put in the runoff drains.
Now, it’s just more accidents waiting to happen.
