    Wrote an email to Mayor Anderson about a question on the Utility Bills last weekend. Not only did I get a prompt response, he responded on Labor Day!!!

    Town of Gilbert to the rescue! Unfortunately, the connection from the water main to our house was damaged during work for underground fiber installation in our neighborhood. The town wasn't notified until after 4:00 but their response was quick and efficient. They had distribution crews on sight and worked through the night to get it corrected. The staff was knowledgeable and did a great job communicating with us so we knew what they were doing and why. They promised they wouldn't leave until it was fixed and the promise was kept. We were very impressed and grateful to be Gilbert residents!

    I just wanna give a shout out to this crew of bulk trash workers from this morning! Our neighbors routinely leave ridiculous amounts of Bulk trash out there, do not follow guidelines, and leave it out for weeks at the time and these guys this morning, took the time to pick through the disgusting soupy mess that was left for them and take what they could. Just wanted to shout out their efforts and dedication. It’s appreciated when so many will take advantage and live the Gilbert entitlement. You deserve better from those you are work hard to help!

    Typically the street sweeper does a poor job by pushing loose gravel around rather than picking it up because of uneven surfaces.

    Yesterday was a much better job! Loose gravel was swept up and away. Perhaps operator used different settings or a new broom. Also, the driver stopped briefly to talk with me!

    Please keep up your great work of making our streets cleaner and safer by efficiently sweeping up loose debris.
