NO PARKING SIGNS AND STOP SIGN KNOCKED DOWN ON MAGNOLIA
  • S Autumn Dr & E Germann Rd Gilbert, AZ, 85297, USA - Gilbert

I am writing to express my concern regarding the intersection of Autumn Drive and Germann Road. In recent months, this intersection has become increasingly hazardous, and I believe it is imperative that the town consider installing a traffic light to improve safety for all drivers.

As it stands, Germann Road is a long, uninterrupted stretch with very few traffic signals, which encourages drivers to accelerate to high speeds. Recently, I experienced a near-miss while turning left from Autumn Drive onto Germann Road. Despite driving at the posted speed limit of 45 mph, I was nearly T-boned, on my daughter’s side of the car, by a vehicle traveling westbound at an estimated speed of 70 mph. This close call highlights the dangerous conditions at this intersection, especially during peak traffic hours.

Turning left onto Germann Road from Autumn Drive is incredibly challenging due to the speed of vehicles approaching the intersection. The lack of traffic signals or controls creates a situation where it is difficult, if not impossible, to safely judge when it is clear to make the turn. I fear that, without intervention, a serious accident is likely to occur, potentially injuring a member of my family or another resident.

I strongly urge the town to evaluate the installation of a traffic light at this intersection. The frequent use of this turn, combined with the speed of oncoming traffic, poses a significant risk. A traffic signal would not only help regulate the flow of traffic but also provide safer conditions for those trying to make a left turn, especially during busy times of day.

I appreciate your time and attention to this matter and hope that the town will consider conducting a thorough evaluation of the intersection. The safety of our community is paramount, and I believe that a traffic light would be a crucial step toward preventing potential accidents.

    Thank you for your consideration.

  • S Higley Rd Gilbert AZ 85295, United States - Gilbert
When will the barriers blocking normal traffic flow and the turn lanes be removed at Higley and Williams Field? No work at all has been done on the northbound side since blocking well over a month ago. There was work done one day last week on the southbound side after the long delayed "de-energizing" for one pole, but traffic continues to jam up every day.
  • Garage East - Gilbert
Would the Gilbert Traffic Department please take under consideration to placing these right arrow signs on the median to show motorists a slight curve is approaching? This would be nearly directly in front of 3000 E Ray Rd or Garage-East. At night, there is an illusion that vehicles are driving at you and the median and roadway are very dark.
  • 2881–2891 S Santan Village Pkwy Gilbert AZ 85295, United States - Gilbert
Greenfield / San Tan pkwy heading North before greenfield there are cones set up for construction that brings traffic from 3 lanes to 1 There is nothing happening there and traffic is a mess with school pick up and the start of rush hour I saw crews working at the corner earlier today but nothing there now Is there anyway to move the cones off to the side until they are needed again?
  • Wind Drift Gilbert, AZ, USA - Gilbert

    Hello -

Lakeview Dr. is a circle that goes around the Wind Drift community of 624 homes. Eight Wind Drift Neighborhoods enter onto Lakeview as does Cullumber between Lindsay and Lakeview, Granite between Val Vista and Lakeview, and N. Lakeview Dr. between Elliott and the Lakeview circle.

I'm the president of the Wind Drift HOA and I'd like to report 2 problems -

1)Speed - especially where students take a shortcut from Lindsay onto Cullumber and from Val Vista onto Granite and around the South part of the Lakeview circle to reach the Elliott entrance to Gilbert High School. There are "Your Speed Is" units placed in different areas of the circle now, but I'm not sure they're capturing the areas with the biggest speed problems.

    2) Lack of crosswalks - we have a sidewalk that goes all around the passenger side of Lakeview Dr. It is very frequently used by homeowners and students, yet there are no pedestrian crosswalk markings at the traffic areas that empty into Lakeview Dr. Can pedestrian crosswalks be added where the sidewalk is intersected by neighborhood entrance/exits?

  • 1300-1348 N Burk St Gilbert, AZ, 85234, USA - Gilbert
Unbelievable amount of illegal parking in the bike lane on Burk Street north of Houston after school. Total disregard for the safety of bikers as well as anyone else around. This has been an ongoing issue this entire school year at Neely Traditional Academy. Can we please get some signs placed so that the kids can stay safe After school? The school has repeatedly pleaded with people not to park there, put up signs and cones that the illegal parkers removed. Lastly, unfortunately there already has been one incident where someone was hit on their bike in the morning at the intersection as well as countless other close calls.
  • 3051–3099 E Queen Creek Rd Gilbert AZ 85297, United States - Gilbert
I understand there are issues with the partially built median on Queen Creek in front of Lowe's but can lane restrictions be removed? Traffic back up in the morning and evening rush hours backs up over 1/4-1/2 miles
  • 33.32175 -111.75567 - Gilbert
Turning east from southbound Val vista is terrible. 2 car legally get through on a light. 2-6 cars go. Dangerous and highly inefficient when 20+ cars waiting to turn
  • W Cullumber Ave & N Mcqueen Rd Gilbert, AZ, 85233, USA - Gilbert
Cullumber is missing white lines separating the oncoming and outgoing traffic. Difficult to distinguish where to line up if making a left on McQueen.
  • 2100–2144 E Williams Field Rd Gilbert AZ 85295, United States - Gilbert
We were at the light for 5 cycles because cars blocked the travel lanes. This was cars traveling north on market and cars turning left into the mall from Williams Field Rd. By the time the roadway cleared for westbound traffic only 2 to 3 cars could make the light.
