LIGHTS COMPLETELY OUT AT BASELINE AND LAKEVIEW VILLAGE

The crosswalk button on the NW side of the Higley and Seville intersection is not working. In addition, this intersection remains very dangerous for pedestrians crossing Higley. Vehicles fail to give pedestrians the right of way or recognize the crosswalk light. This is a significant concern for students crossing Higley to attend Riggs Elementary or any other pedestrian crossing Higley. While failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk is a violation, it is happening consistently. More substantial efforts need to occur for the safety of the neighborhood. Perhaps if we look at this area proactively, a solution could be for the crosswalk light to signal pedestrians only while all vehicles have a red light. Or more signage to remind vehicles to stay alert and cautious when yielding to pedestrians. I fear if action isn’t taken, there will be dangerous consequences. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The blue Botts Dot in the middle of the street identifying a hydrant is missing on Carol Rae Ln between Houston and Juanita Ave.

Hi Gilbert, our neighborhood has had new concrete footings set for new street lights about a month ago. Just a general question on what the timeline is for installation of new street light poles and removal of the old ones. This in the Cayman Square neighborhood in Northwest Gilbert, off of Guadalupe between Cooper and McQueen. Thanks!

CITIZEN ADV OF SCHOOL ZONE LIGHTS NOT SET PROPERLY IN THIS AREA

Caller reports problems with the TTC:

"Since last Friday the temporary traffic control setup on Lindsey Rd between E. Spur Rd and S. Layton lakes Blvd. As of right now it does not follow the MUTCD. There is a left turn bay on Lindsay road to WB S. Layton lakes Blvd that is not signed properly for a left turn or no left depending what the contractor has approval for at this intersection. Drivers are making a high risk left turning movement from Lindsay road to WB South Layton lakes Blvd by turning left from the through lane at the very last second to go around the north end of VPs. Others are trying to squeeze in the 9 ft gap between the the two parallel rows of VPs creating their own turn left lane. By doing the leader part they're hitting the VP cause the parts of the VPs to be scattered across the road. What also makes it very high risk for accidents is the increase traffic from the elementary school that's 500ft away. Buses are trying to navigate the left turn at the intersection. Also all the pre warner signs have been down since Friday morning."

The sign shown in the picture is at the northeast corner of Higley and Riggs The block number on the sign is incorrect It shows currently as 7200E but it should be 7200S The sign on the opposite corner is correct.
