    On Mar. 13, at 4:25 pm, I called 480 503-6500 because the limb of a tree fell across the south bound lanes of Cooper Raod, just west of Estrella Rd. Gilbert had experienced a tremendous wind and sand storm minutes before.

    During this time, there must have been many, many calls to the police about damage.

    Cameron Mondragon answered my call and was incredibly cool and calm. I reported to her that a limb was blocking the southbound lanes of Cooper Rd. During my call, she asked a very simple but important question. She asked if the limb was small enough to be pulled aside by an officer or if a "chainsaw" was needed. This question indicated that she was really thinking ahead. This should be admired, especially when she was probably very busy.

    You might be able to tell from the photo taken moments ago that the limb is over a foot in diameter and must weigh hundreds of pounds.

    Again a massive midge fly problem at the Riparian Preserve next to The Bridges at Gilbert. My home is infested with midge flies. Why is the city not able to manage / control this? People live next to this preserve. Are the homes in this neighborhood not being put into account in regards to how the city manages the water at this site? I would like a response to this that is not the same copy and paste that I’ve received two times prior. I have two small children, 3 years old and 3 months old, and I don’t want swarms of these flies going in their food/drinks. This is not healthy for residents. It really seems that no one from the city ever visits this site to see if it’s causing a community nuisance.

    The midge flies are bad again at the south Riparian and houses that back up
    to it in the Bridges can't walk in the backyard without being swarmed. I thought the Town was not adding water in the sections directly behind the houses. Why would they put it there over a holiday weekend??? Super disappointed in that decision- please address these pests already and use the areas that are further out and not against our houses.

    In the water retention area storm drain, there is standing water from someone draining their pool into the storm drains instead of using the proper sewer drain. This water has been here for several weeks at least causing a major mosquito issue for the surrounding houses. We have submitted a Maricopa County request for Vector to come out, but I think the drain needs to be emptied of the stagnant water, or the mosquitos will keep laying larve. It was awful last year as well, even paying for mosquito control it did not get rid of the problem.
