The roads in Velvendo were recently resurfaced. Upon completion of the project, they left behind the traffic signs with flags and they have been sitting in the community for several weeks (some of which have blown down). Also the speed hump was painted over the white arrows on one side.

When will the street sealing and new lines be completed on Layton Lakes Blvd? A number of the temporary lane markers are getting knocked down, broken, etc. There has been little to no work done on the street now for weeks.

I understand there are issues with the partially built median on Queen Creek in front of Lowe's but can lane restrictions be removed? Traffic back up in the morning and evening rush hours backs up over 1/4-1/2 miles
  • E Riggs Rd & S Val Vista Dr Chandler, AZ, 85249, USA - Chandler

I’d like to inquire if the traffic light timing on Riggs Road, particularly eastbound, could be monitored.

Issues at the Riggs Road / Val Vista Intersection:
Westbound Riggs Road: A significant amount of traffic turns right onto Key Biscayne/Merlot because when you approach the signal at Val Vista/Riggs, the curb at the gas station sticks out and blocks access to the right turn lane for Val Vista. As a result, it's often quicker to cut through the nearby neighborhood, which I assume is not great for the school or neighborhood.

Eastbound Riggs Road: I’m unsure about the exact timing, but eastbound traffic on Riggs Road takes several light cycles to get through the intersection, especially around 4/4:30 PM. The traffic is often stop-and-go from nearly Lindsay Road to Val Vista. It seems like this could be a quick fix on the timing of the lights.

Southbound Val Vista: There are two lanes heading south towards Hunt Highway, but very few cars actually travel south. Meanwhile, a large number of vehicles turn left onto Riggs Road, causing unnecessary congestion.

I am not sure if there is a better place to make these suggestions, so I thought I'd try here first. Thanks!

  • 2100–2144 E Williams Field Rd Gilbert AZ 85295, United States - Gilbert
We were at the light for 5 cycles because cars blocked the travel lanes. This was cars traveling north on market and cars turning left into the mall from Williams Field Rd. By the time the roadway cleared for westbound traffic only 2 to 3 cars could make the light.
  • 1563-1569 N Lindsay Rd Gilbert, AZ, 85234, USA - Gilbert
Traffic control is not being properly maintained. And traffic control plan needs to have an idle worksite plan. No work for 2 weeks and all that needs to be blocked when idle is the turn and bike lane.
  • 15656–15674 S Lindsay Rd Gilbert AZ 85295, United States - Gilbert
Northbound protected left turn from Lindsay onto Williams Field. Timing is off only allows four cars at max to turn left on protected arrow when there could be 10 to 12 cars lined up.
  • 3785 Lindsay Rd Gilbert, AZ 85297, USA - Gilbert
There used to be dashed white lines helping people turn into the correct lane, but they have faded. Can the lines please be painted again? People keep trying to turn into the wrong lane.
Location: 202 east bound off ramp turning south onto Lindsay Road.

Please have bike lane lines repainted to allow space for parked vehicles and bikes. I am also interested in RV storage along S. Neely St. North of W. Hackamore Ave. What is required to get permission for RV storage along S. Neely St. between W. Hackamore Ave. and Elliot Rd.?
  • S Lindsay Rd & E Mesquite St Gilbert, AZ, 85296, USA - Gilbert
My name is Paul Mendez, and I am a proud resident of Gilbert. I grew up here, graduated from Gilbert High School, and have recently moved back with my family. I wanted to bring a potential safety issue to your attention that I believe could be addressed to better protect our community.
I live off Lindsay Road, between Elliot and Warner. I have noticed that there are no traffic street lights or traffic light crossing from the east to west side of Lindsay in this area. Additionally, there is no school zone speed limit along Lindsay around Mesquite Street for Mesquite Elementary. I see children crossing frequently, sometimes using the railroad tracks, which poses obvious safety risks.
Traffic in this area has increased significantly, making it very difficult, and in some cases dangerous, to turn left across traffic or even cross the street safely. Currently, the only safe options are to go all the way to Elliot or Warner to cross and then double back, which is not practical for many pedestrians.
For comparison, Guadalupe Road and Burk street have a school zone speed limit and a traffic light near Gilbert Classical Academy, which is a similar distance from the school as Mesquite Elementary. With the traffic volume, lack of a reduced speed limit, and no safe crossing, this stretch of Lindsay Road presents a real safety concern.
I would strongly encourage consideration of implementing a reduced speed zone during school hours along Lindsay near Mesquite Street, as well as possibly installing a traffic light at Mesquite and Smoke Tree Road. These changes would improve safety for children and residents, and allow drivers to make left-hand turns across traffic more safely.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope you will consider taking action to improve safety in this neighborhood.
  • 800-836 N Higley Rd Gilbert, AZ, 85234, USA - Gilbert
Another head on collision at intersection of Higley and Guadalupe Rd. Please place a red arrows . Cars in in the intesection have no time to turn before the next set up lights go green This is the third collision I have stopped to help with in the pat 60 days.
  • 1-95 N Palm St Gilbert, Arizona, 85234 - Gilbert
Due to the high amount of cars coming in and out of this area from the increase in population- due to apartments as well as visitors to downtown Gilbert, there needs to be several speed bumps put in place as well as street lights for safety. Street lights in the former designated "Heritage District", which ended at Bruce Ave, are placed a certain amount of space apart and are of a different style than the one single light on our street, so it is extremely dark. Our neighborhood was also incorporated as part of the Heritage District in recent years and should be treated as such with added street lights and speed bumps to optimize safety.
