    I live in a community that seems to generate a lot of un-contained, bulk trash and vegetation trimmings.

    Picking up the trash is often a thankless duty. It seems that working outside and in an un-airconditioned Kubota loader can be miserably hot, especially this summer.

    Jeremy and Ruben always do a great job when picking up bulk trash. They even sweep the road after a few leaves drop.

    Both are so, so polite and always, for more than a year, greeted me by name and seem happy to see me.

    The Town and citizens should be very proud to have them as employees!

    I hope that you see this story from the local TV news this evening when Drew Porter, a solid waste employee, saw a burning vehicle and used his fire extinguisher to put the fire out, even before the fire department got there.

    With his actions and the Town of Gilbert fire extinguisher, further damage was stopped.

    Also, it looked like Mr. Porter knew exactly how to effectively use the small fire extinguisher on a large fire. (Gilbert, Thanks for your training of our valuable employees.)
