  • Gandy Blvd N St. Petersburg, FL, 33702, USA - St. Petersburg
Absolutely baffled how much worse the congestion all around the one horrible traffic light on Gandy at Brighton Bay Blvd NE has gotten. We are not in spring break, snowbirds are gone, no construction, no weather and yet we are absolutely floored how bad the bumper to bumper traffic on ALL side streets leading into Gandy Blvd east towards Tampa is and the state has not done anything about it. I sat for 8 light cycles coming from Roosevelt Blvd onto S Frontage Rd to all cram into ONE lane to get onto Gandy Blvd eastbound...my drive times have DOUBLED over the last few months and this is NOT acceptable. I refuse to keep getting talked to by my bosses for getting to work late and asking to leave early all because you all cannot do your job and fix the very known issue. I am disgusted as I am always late to get my kids and miss family time because you all fail miserably at your jobs. ONEEEEEEEEE traffic light is responsible for insane unreal dangerous intersection blocking road rage causing issues and you all still fail to act on it. You geniuses have forced six plus lanes of traffic coming from all different directions into ONE lane to enter Gandy eastbound. The traffic light plays an HUGE role in the massive backups for Gandy Blvd leading to MILES of gridlock coming from Tampa and countless blocked intersections and excessive gridlock that is unacceptable and a failure on the city, county and states part. Same issue for S Frontage Rd and N Frontage Rd at 4th St N...insane long wait times for traffic lights and insane congestion and another horrible roadway design that is unsafe and failure on the states part just like Ulmerton Rd and the cluster show that road is and still no Gateway project and we all know the new roads will NOT help all the congestion and issues such as ALLLLLLLLLL the large trucks that you all allow to drive in the left PASSING lane and fail to enforce that and fail to add signs like NO TRUCKS LEFT LANE...it makes too much sense for the state to do things like that. Please pass this along to someone that can actually do something instead of just closing these out and failing us as usual. FL has a horrible reputation for how horrible our roads are and you all are the main cause of this. Inability to manage traffic light timing, you all are known for making merge lane after merge lane after merge lane which is beyond inefficient and a major cause of accidents and delays but as usual; you all fail to act and fix things to get caught up with growth and the times...really sad and very unsafe.
  • 7400 83rd St N Seminole, FL 33777, USA - US Congressional District FL10
light at 83rd and park blvd is out of sync only 3 or 4 cars can get through.
  • 7101–7143 62nd Ave N Pinellas Park FL 33781, United States - US Congressional District FL10
    Missing cowling on green light
  • 1003 Florida Ave Palm Harbor, FL, 34683, USA - Palm Harbor
The rrfb on the north east corner of the roundabout has been down for a ridiculous amount of time (3 months) I’m not sure if it’s just because no one has notified you guys but judging by the plastic bags over the lights I’m sure someone has been out. Is there a reason this hasn’t been fixed? Anyway hopefully it’s fixed soon.
  • 580 And Us19 N Frontage Road Clearwater, Florida - Clearwater
Light cycle only allowing 4 sets of cars through. Backing up onto the highway exit ramp. This is a recent change. Normally you can clear the intersection if you are halfway back. Today it took 4 light cycles.
  • S Highland Ave & Lakeview Rd Clearwater, FL, 33756, USA - Clearwater

I travel East on Lakeview Mon.-Sat. between 3-5AM., and the light at Lakeview and Highland is on a timer, instead of being triggered by cars.
From my experiences over the past 25 years, Lakeview has more traffic, so it should be the dominant light.
But instead, the light is forever green for Highland.
Then about every 30 seconds it will turn green for Lakeview, for approximately 2 SECONDS...!

As a bonus, the light at Keene and Nursery is also on a timer, which it shouldn't be.
Keene has far more traffic than Nursery, but the light changes regardless, and stays red forever.

  • 58th Street North Clearwater, Florida - South Highpoint
I've written several times it just seems to me that a lot of people go to Tampa to work why is it I can't drive down Ulmerton Road doing the speed limit without catching every red light just doesn't seem right
  • 102nd Ave N & Seminole Blvd Seminole, FL, 33778, USA - Seminole
Long wait times for light in the morning east and west bound. Weekends are also very long with very little traffic on Seminole.
  • 4894-4898 46th Ave N Saint Petersburg, FL, 33714, USA - West and East Lealman
46th Ave N heading westbound. Multiple reports light failing to cycle - happens periodically, sometimes for 10 minutes. Traffic backs all the way up to the 4 way stop. Seems maybe related to the curb & gutter project happening on the other side of 49th.
  • 10544 Park Blvd Seminole, FL, 33772, USA - Seminole
Pedestrian crosswalk pavement markings are needed/missing eastbound Park Blvd at 104th Lane in Seminole.
There are crosswalk buttons and crosswalk lights, but no crosswalk pavement markings.
  • 28.06807 -82.75977 - Palm Harbor
The traffic signal at the intersection of Tampa Rd & 15th St doesn't give a green arrow allowing traffic to turn left from SB 15th St onto EB Tampa Rd when the crosswalk button for crossing Tampa Rd is pushed, even though the only crosswalk for crossing Tampa Rd at the intersection is on the West side of the intersection and is not affected by traffic turning left onto EB Tampa Rd The crosswalk signal there causes red lights for ALL TRAFFIC IN ALL DIRECTIONS for the entire duration of the walk signal & the flashing don't walk signal Can the traffic light be reprogrammed to give the left green arrow?
  • Ulmerton Rd & Lake Ave Se Largo, Florida - US Congressional District FL10
The light at Lave Ave. SE feels slightly off with the light at 101st St. SE/Sunrise Dr. Also possibly slightly off from Starkey Rd light. The "Platoon"/group of cars released from 101st or from Ulmerton are forced to stop at Lake Ave SE red light. For the East bound side, it is backing traffic all the way past Madison and Washington Ave creating a dangerous situation for motorists coming out from/into Madison as well as U-turns as the left lane is the first to back up then center then right leaving you inches away sometimes from someone doing 30+mph and cannot see around vehicles. The light at Lake Ave SE seems perfectly fine in operation just seems about maybe a few secs off to allow some of that group of cars to go through to the traffic backed up is not as lengthy even at non-rush hour times or earlier to allow the Lake Ave SE traffic to get across before they get there. On the West bound side, it seems basically the same way as the East bound side where if you need to be the 1st or second car at Starkey Rd heading West and have to speed just to make that light which many people do speed. The other possible correction may also be to reverse the order of operations of the light sequence at Lake Ave SE. Currently if you were heading West from Starkey Rd, you would see the light change to Red and stop, the Lake Ave SE traffic goes, then when the light changes to green for West bound side (cannot remember if East bound traffic does as well) the East bound side is half way from 101st to Lake Ave. If you turn left on Madison, or U-turn for gas stations, etc., then you will wait for that traffic to slowly come to the stop at the red light behind you (possibly west bound turn lane?), then backs up so you cant get across or are let across 1-2 lanes out of 3 and wait in the middle of the road, then once you finally do the 1-4 people behind you try to also quickly get across more than likely ignoring pedestrians. If the East bound was still green because their left turn is going now at the end instead of the beginning of their green light, it might help enough to let a few more vehicles through to allow safe crossings for everyone since it will be behind the Platoon or Pack of cars. Then Lake Ave has the same amount for their traffic as well as pedestrians at that light just instead of changing at 3:04pm and 30 secs it changes at 3:04pm and 15 secs or 45secs or something like that. *Side note - since it doesn't have to deal with safety is that the East bound traffic backing up so far back makes it difficult for vehicles pulling out of the side streets, gas stations/businesses, as well as the big construction? trucks that come from 95th St N. I've seen them wait something like 1-4 mins waiting on traffic then the back end of traffic from everyone pulling out from the side streets, then can finally go. Overall Ulmerton never gets back up West bound from 101st to impede much neither does East bound from Starky Rd.(have not witnessed morning rush traffic however). I understand there are several different priorities involved in Traffic Signal timing and the complexity of numerous varibles at each intersection, so just wanted to see if someone could just take a look to see if anything could be done.
