  • 525 Tennessee Ave Palm Harbor, FL, 34681, USA - Palm Harbor
The drainage ditch next door to our property has not been draining for the last six weeks. As a result, it floods onto our property where we have not had problems before. It’s corked up, and then runs under driveways. As the runoff process at the back of the property is supposed to drain towards Mayo and does not (and therefore backs up at our property in the middle of the block, it is especially important that the front drainage drain as effectively as possible. Much thanks for your help!

  • 807 Cypress Trail Dr Tarpon Springs, Florida, 34688 - East Lake

In spring of this year, we were told that the ditches on our street would be redone to allow water to drain off towards the west. Workers came out and dug out the ditch in front of our house and partially at our next door neighbors at 801 CTD. The digging made our front yard the lowest section causing all of the water yo pool there versus draining off. In addition to only partially digging out our neighbors’ ditch the culvert allowing water to flow southwest under the road by 802 CTD toward the pond was not cleared. The ditch also was not dug out at all at 793 because of “their planter box in the easement (as per the workers who were working on the project).”

Previously, after heavy downpours water might be in our front yard for several hours to half a day. Now, every time it rains water pools there for a minumum of half a day, and more recently it has not drained off at all; the water level just increases or slightly decreases. When there is no water in the ditch one can clearly see that it slopes down from 801 CTD toward our yard. A Pinellas County employee who was checking the ditches a few weeks ago also noticed that and stated he would report it to his supervisor. Since then, we have heard or seen nothing regarding this problem. Aside from being a nuisance, the standing water is killing the shade tree in our front yard and it has also become a mosquito breeding ground. We have lived in our house since 2013, and have never had this many mosquitoes, even after major rain events and storms.

Please send someone to fix the ditches in our neighborhood so water can drain off properly.

    Thank you!!!

  • 11167 Village Green Ave Seminole, Florida, 33772 - Seminole
The drain is blocked by a tree growing in it. The area is flooding with every hard rain. Located between 11167 Village Green Ave and 111 LN N.
  • 135 Melody Ln Largo, Florida, 33771 - US Congressional District FL10
There is a drain ditch that goes along the back of the houses and it never drains and always standing water, so the mosquito population is substantial. You can't even have a dog bowl of water outside without having mosquito Larvae in it in a day.
  • 1760 Harmony Dr Clearwater, Florida, 33756 - Largo
This ditch has a blocked drain which prevents the water from flowing. The water pools next to the rip rap and will not drain adequately as the other side of the drain is higher and clogged with soil and debris. The ditch is directly behind my property and the whole ditch needs work.

  • 52nd Ave N & 72nd St N West Lealman, FL, 33709, USA - US Congressional District FL10
On the south side of 52nd Ave N between 71st Way N & 72nd Way N the ditch needs to be cleaned out. Plants and debris have clogged the sewer intakes to a point that weeds are growing out of the street sewer intakes. Water didn't drain correctly from Hurricane Debby in that area.
  • 134th St & 94th Ave Seminole, Florida, 33776 - US Congressional District FL10
Please be advised that the very large debris pile located at the intersection needs to be picked up urgently due to safety concerns for pedestrian traffic safety that it is obscuring and more importunately that part of the Swall drainage pipe opening is 100% choked off and not visible. We understand your backlog of pick up however more people continue to use as a dump pile creating these hazards that have to be addressed promptly! Your swift attention to this matter is appreciate as we like to avoid any accidents or flooding.
