Back in Feb of 2020 city crews knocked this decorative pillar out of plumb while they were clearing brush out of the stair easement. The city then removed it and said it would be repaired/replaced in the future. To date nothing has been done to replace it. It was located on the stairs that run from Alvarado to Easton. It was a part of a matched pair on either side of the entrance to the stairway. My understanding of the origins of this pillar date back to the early days of Burlingame and have historical significance. What is the status of the repair/replacement?

    Hello.

There is an overgrown plant/weed on the town-owned median that is blocking the view of oncoming traffic. When turning onto Carolan from Park, it's difficult to see oncoming cars and cyclists, particularly early in the morning with low light and foggy windows. Every morning I feel like I'm going to get into an accident because of it. The attached photo demonstrates what I'm talking about. Can the town trim back the plant or maybe replace it will a drought tolerant grass or something that won't grow so high? Thank you!

Hello, my wife ran into a coyote on Los Altos drive this morning while walking the dog. The animal didn’t show any fear and was eyeing the dog. I’ve seen coyotes on a regular basis in the last few months in the morning. I assume they are taking cats and other small animals but this is the first time we had fear. Do we have any animal control/relocation service available?

    Hello,

I am writing to express my concern regarding the intersection of Vancouver and Adeline in Burlingame. This is a high volume and speed area year round, but especially during school when parents are rushing to get their kids to Mercy High School. The problem is compounded by a sharp curve that limits view as one drives past Vancouver on Adeline towards Mercy.

I am hoping this intersection could be evaluated for either a speed bump or stop sign for public safety.
The police apparently agree with me as I inadvertently sent this request to traffic and they have given multiple citations since seeing my request.

I am not sure what department handles this but if you could send to engineering that would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards,
    Parul
