The people on the other side of Ohio spend a lot of money and time taking care of their homes only to have to look at the other side of Ohio which is beginning-to-end is block after block of disintegrating eyesores largely owned by absentee landlords. There are three building for sale on the well-maintained odd-numbered side of Ohio Avenue. Potential buyers look across the street at the blight and run away from any deal. -

This building is next door to Whiting Councilwoman Rebeca Michko. One would think the Councilwoman would be especially concerned and vigilant about problem buildings such as this one which make this side of Ohio Ave. look like a slum.
