Large tree in front yard with multiple dead limbs. One fell today 20 feet in front of me while walking my dog on the sidewalk. The limb fell onto the sidewalk and into the street. Neighbor across the street at 84 N. Merkle was pulling out of their driveway at the same time, and the large portions of the limb missed their car by inches. Fortunately, their car was not damaged. I talked to the neighbors at 84 N. Merkle after the incident. They said they have asked 84 N. Merkle to cut limbs and he has refused.

  • 434 N Columbia Ave Columbus, Ohio, 43209 - Bexley
There's a large tree branch, about 20' high, hanging over the sidewalk. A pruned branch (upper arrow) is now about 6' above the sidewalk - I've been monitoring it for a few days and noticed it gradually getting lower. The lower arrow points to a thin branch that was a foot or so above the ground, but now touches the ground. It appears possible that the weight of the large branch will eventually reach a breaking point.

Last night, a storm caused a tree to fall in the powerline, pulling it down, but not disconnecting it. AEP came to take care of it. At that time, we noticed another branch of the tree closest to the street pulling down on some kind of cable or powerline. AEP said Bexley will have todeal with that one for some reason. I assume because it’s a city tree? It is in the yard directly west of mine, where the branches are stacked up.
