WAWA: No Parking Areas are not clearly delineated with articulated signage and lines. Cars are parking blocking the loading zone (also not clearly delineated) causing blockage of the bike path and adjacent streets etc. Bike lane lines are faded.
500 S 22nd St Philadelphia, PA 19146, USAThere is ALWAYS a car stopped in front of this 7/11, and to add insult to injury - it's usually a police car, which could illegally park somewhere else, without endangering bicyclists.· Reported by Adam · Flag Flagged
22nd & Lombard Philadelphia, PACars are chronically parked in the bike lane here, causing bicyclists to ride in the motor vehicle lane. Most common offenders are the police! Recently I saw vehicle 1721 in this zone.
541 S 27th St Philadelphia, PA 19146, USAThe right turn onto South Street Bridge is very sharp and complicated by the bike lane - would need major work to make safer.
The stoplights are confusing, cars don't realize when pedestrians have priority, and i have seen near misses twice now..· Reported by Bankster · Flag Flagged

The sharrows markers on the road here clearly show that bikes are allowed to take the lane when traveling these few blocks between the bikes lanes of Pine/Spruce and the bike lanes across the South St bridge, the principal route for many bicycle commuters to/from Center City and West Philadelphia.
I've had many issues of cars driving aggressively to bicycles taking the lane, with drivers impatiently revving engines and warning bicyclists to get over to allow them to pass (along roads that have cars parked on both sides, thus forcing bicyclists into potential dooring situations).
Better education is needed to inform both drivers and bicyclists on the use of sharrows. Perhaps additional "Share the road" signs?
I even had drivers yell at me that "sharing the road" means I have to move over when they want to pass, a very impolite and rude gesture to someone who is just trying to bike to/from work safely.· Reported by Anonymous · Flag Flagged

Murray's Chicken Truck #61 Parked in front of residents' homes. Where the truck parks is posted No Parking Anytime. Truck keeps both alternate source an diesel engine on for atleast 20 minutes. Longest time recorded in the last month was 42 minutes.
We've asked him to stop. He says if he turns the engine off he might not be able to restart it.
Occupants of the home is an elderly woman who can not hear over the engine and a pregnant (soon to give birth) woman. House has smelled like gas exhaust on two occasions because of truck.
Truck is parked there regularly. Usually around 11:30am on Tuesdays and Fridays.· Reported by Snow · Flag Flagged

At NWC of S. 21st St. & Locust St. after every rainfall there is a large puddle (too deep to walk thru). It sweeps all the way around the corner, approximately 90degrees, and it is at least 10 feet wide. This sidewalk is HEAVILY used by 1) pedestrians 2) baby carriages/strollers and 3) wheelchairs and wheeled walkers.
PLEASE clean out drain thoroughly or, if there isn't one, dig down and create a catchbasin & tie-into existing stormdrain.
I will submit a foto if necessary, but this condition has existed for years, and is EXTREMELY dangerous when said puddle freezes every winter - 311 STREETS Dept MUST know of it already.
