Fully agree, With the volume of traffic heading north on Six Forks it is often very difficult to turn left onto Mourning Dove when heading south. Often only one car (at best!) can make the turn at each light cycle.

A green left turn arrow is definitely urgently needed at the intersection of Six Forks and Mourning Dove. During most of the day and evening, the traffic volume makes a left turn onto Mourning Dove from southbound Six Forks impossible...most cars have to pretty much turn on red or take a very risky chance and turn while hoping to avoid an accident. It is ridiculously unsafe. Please correct this ASAP.

Per Public Works, a left turn study was completed for this intersection in August of 2012 and the intersection did not meet the required warrants for a protected left turn. However, we will begin a new left turn study to see if volumes have increased. A left turn study could take in upwards of 45 days for all data to be gathered and studied.

This issue is being tracked on a separate SCF issue #1015075. Sorry for the delay in response! We have lost a number of cases in the system and are just now ferreting them out.
