Description
The entirety of the north side of 178th St between Linden and Fremont Avenues is overgrown with brush and brambles. According to the King County Parcel mapping tool, this strip of land is not private property. This area attracts people looking for a place to drink alcohol, do drugs, and dump trash. Neighbors collect trash as best they can, but the thickness of the blackberry vines makes much of the trash irretrievable. This week, one neighbor collected a grocery cart full of trash. I just collected 5 bags of trash, including many, many beer bottles, several syringes, and several hundred feet of abandoned hoses. We would like to see this vegetation cleared out and replaced with trees or other landscaping to be be maintained by the city. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
