Amen brother. maybe we should stuff a couple of Penndot officials in those holes being that it is a state road. Higher gasoline taxes, higher vehicle registration higher everything. FOR WHAT?

Potholes were finally fixed in May.

Yes the majority of the potholes were fixed but not all. They haven't touched anything from above the hill - the part that's called Finland Rd - down to where it meets Allentown Rd. There are still numerous potholes and sections where layers of the top course are missing. There's gaping holes in the center seem area going down the hill and where the road joins with Allentown Rd is extremely rough making it difficult to turn from Allentown onto Finland so that you have to take it pretty slow. That in itself is dangerous because of the poor visibility of vehicles coming down the Allentown Rd hill into Twin Churches. That section will always be an issue because the culvert pipe running under the intersection is too small to handle the amount of flow coming down the hill when it rains so it washes over the road instead. The hill will always be an issue because the swales or ditches on the side of the road are so full of debris that storm water can't flow down the hill and ends up running across the road in several sections instead.

Yeah, you're right. I wasn't thinking about that part of the road - it IS still kinda rough there. Thanks for pointing that out! Agreed on the water issue too...

They did the same thing with Ridge Valley Rd - Came out, fixed some of it but left huge rough areas as well as large potholes. Came out again, fixed areas that were pretty bad where the road went through the gamelands but again didn't do everything. Heading toward Ridge Rd, there's still a hole on a really bad curve where you can't see oncoming traffic so you have no choice but to stay in your lane and try to avoid it by cheating to the right. That hole just keeps getting deeper and deeper and there are more deepening on that curve where they didn't do anything about it before. I just don't get it - why can't they finish the job?

Both Finland/Upper Ridge Rd and Ridge Valley Rd were completely repaved summer of 2015.
