Description
The Bluebonnet owners continue to park on Houston Ave very close to the Summer street curb. They have been asked to stop because it is illegal and makes exiting Summer onto Houston very dangerous. Please put in a ‘No parking to curb’ sign.

An investigation was conducted on 06/23/2021 at 8:30am at 1612 HOUSTON Ave a No Parking Sign. The anonymous customer stated to 311: ?The Bluebonnet owners continue to park on Houston Ave very close to the Summer street curb. They have been asked to stop because it is illegal and makes exiting Summer onto Houston very dangerous. Please put in a No parking to curb sign.? The streets are asphalt paved with gutters/open ditches in a residential/commercial area. The traffic volume was moderate. Houston is a north and south bound Avenue; Summer is an east and west bound street controlled by stop signs. During the investigation, there was no notice of cars parking at the intersection causing a traffic issue. It was noted that there are tree limbs on the south east corner of 1700 HOUSTON AVE & 1500 SUMMER ST that block the view of north bound traffic on Houston Ave. (See Documents) To improve traffic operations for the intersection, Case# 180376-101004767193 was forwarded to Parks & Recreation ?Forestry? to trim the tree limbs on south east corner of 1700 HOUSTON AVE & 1500 SUMMER ST that block the view of north bound traffic for drivers on Summer St.

I've lived in the First Ward for over 20 years and those people have been parking on Houston Ave. at that corner for years but because they are not there the ONE TIME you show up it's not a problem??? THEY ARE PARKED THERE RIGHT NOW! They have been reported multiple times with no action taken by COH. And the traffic volume on Houston Ave is anything but moderate, especially during rush hour or after one of the 25-30 trains that come through every day. More proof that 311 is an absolute joke.
I'll reopen this so that COH can immediately close it again without resolving anything as usual. DO YOUR JOB COH!
