As a member of Friends of Beaver Pond Park, I support this suggestion. Too many people speed through this area going from the west side of the city to the east side of the city—Beaver Hills to Dixwell and Newhallville. Cars need to slow down as if they are driving through a park and not speed as if they are on a race track.
Yes, we do need a bike lane for Fournier Street so that people can ride their bikes safely to the Farmington Canal. The bike lane would be an excellent extension of the Crescent St bike lane.

Agreed, there needs to be better bike lane infrastructure from Crescent St to the Farmington Canal and also better traffic calming at Crescent-Fournier intersection because it is just dangerous. There are cars speeding and running the red lights here constantly. I think this is underdocumented and suggest the city try placing a patrol car at Beaver Ponds Park to observe how frequently speeding and traffic light infractions occur at this location.
