Thank you for reporting. This issue has been assigned to the Streets Division of DPW for further investigation.

Building Dept. is aware of situation. Contractor has been allowed to place fence at location due to poor sidewalk conditon.Sidewalk to be repaired/replaced at end of building construction.

From my point of view, walking that block almost daily, the side walk was not in bad repair prior to the work starting. I can walk, gingerly, along the side walk on Fayette St., hugging the fence. Or, I walk on the street not 15' from a busy intersection.

The Fayette St. sidewalk is impassable. There's sufficient sidewalk space on E. Merrimack. The Fayette St. sidewalk was not in poor condition prior to contractor's actions
