Greetings, I will try to explain some history and options for this intersection. History, we tried several years ago to acquire land to enlarge this intersection as it is small with very small curb radiuses but ran into several project cancelling problems. First issue BoBo's is on the historic landmark list and nothing can be touched on that property. The two properties on the east side are/were owned by an owner who will not deal with the city when we tried to purchase those properties. So no project can be done without those properties to update the intersection that would accommodate higher traffic loads. Options - we could prohibit left turns during certain hours of the day, put split phasing signal timing allowing one movement to go then another one etc. all adding time to the signal sequence and drivers wait times.
