Many streets in South Philly have resident permit parking however the PPA makes no provision for the owners of the small businesses in these neighborhoods who can no longer park in the neighborhoods they serve. These small businesses provide convenient services to their community and pay real estate and very high business taxes and should have the right to park during the day. They are the backbone of the Philadelphia economy.I feel the PPA should issue some kind of special permit for these business owners and charge for it just as do for the residential permits. I'm sure the owners would be happy to pay more than residents. I feel it is unfair to these small businesses since they pay more taxes than anyone in the city and some provision should be made. Since most residents are working during the day it wouldn't cause an undue burden to residents.
