Gil--As I understand you drive here in Vermont, I'd ask you what distance does state law require drivers to maintain between their vehicles and bicyclists on the highway?

This lane is a total hazard on a large hill. Please put this on the short list.

Can we also talk about the horrible pavement conditions along that stretch of road? Or as long as we are on topic- how wide is the supposed "bike lane" going up Main street? The streets throughout the city are in a shambles in my opinion. There needs to be much more attention brought to fixing them!!

The pavement conditions are terrible in all of Burlington and should have been repaired a long time ago but they haven't been

Aside from the easternmost block, this bike lane should be 4' and we have requested that this be corrected with 2022 repainting.

This has been a recurring problem: things that are done incorrectly are simply re-done incorrectly again the next year. I will look forward to it being done right next year. In the meantime, given how many times this has been requested and done wrong, can you send out a manual striper and do it right this fall?
