I am in Canal Place, and our back door is directly adjacent to Canal III. I have walked through the parking lot and have been unable to find the location of this report. Can you help me understand better where the hole can be found? Thanks!

It's not in the parking lot, it's the empty lot in front of CP III looking toward the textile museum.

Found it right in front of the big pile of dirt.

It's easily two feet across

The lower sections of the hole look a lot like a sinkhole in progress. Given the likelihood of underground exit tunnels for mill water power, this seems to carry potential for a larger cave-in if it isn't addressed. Sure wouldn't want a city truck or pedestrian to get caught in that...
