The issue still has not been resolved. I am noticing the "sneakers over power lines" display becoming more evident throughout downtown. Obviously there is no real way to prevent it but can't they at least be removed within acceptable amount of time?

YES! You should call City Hall. NEAT looks at this and reports things that we find here. The city tells us that it's the utility company's issue. I think that with enough calls, they might help citizens to push the utility into removing them. Who knows if City Hall looks at this or not....
We know the Middletown Press does.
