I am fairly certain that the people painting the sharrows on George Street were intoxicated. They did not manage to paint the sharrows in a straight line, putting some of them in the parking lane, and others in the road.

there's a difference between being dumb and being drunk. unfortunately the difference is not much. in other words, they could also have been just really dumb.
vote for me when I'm 60. by then they will have worn away and we can paint it right.
honestly, cycle lanes deserve a protection curb and there would be fewer cars downtown if there were less automobile access and parking.
