R u kidding me now that there is a one way on taft people honestly think this will stop people from parking on taft on churh days and holidays and now that Easter is upon us they decide to be really dumb and annoying and church haters by putting up the signs this holy weekend. Great job Albany and shame on our neighborhood representatives for letting this happen.

^ This matter has NOTHING to do with religion or parking so please save your breath! This is about personal safety for the residents of Taft Avenue. Are you even a resident of Taft Avenue? Obviously not because if you were you wouldn't have posted such a ridiculous comment. People are still driving the wrong way down our street and its unsafe. Families with Children and Elderly people live on our street. I applaud the City of Albany for making the street one way as they have done an excellent job. I just don't want to see anyone get hurt is all. Perhaps adding another Do Not Enter sign on the telephone poles near the end of the church parking lot could help.

Here is an example of someone who chose to ignore the signs posted of 'Do Not Enter' and go down our street the wrong way.

Making Taft one way was a good decision, it just seems like they did not have a traffic engineer involved or they would have made it one way the other way.

Thanks so much for adding the photos - it was absolutely crazy this weekend. They really need to have a cop there or better signs until people realize that its a one way street. I also wish there was some more enforcement around the parking, there were still people parked on both sides of the street (some facing the wrong way) making the street impassable yet again. The CDTA bus came to pick up a resident in a wheel chair and I don't know if the bus was able to get down the street with all the crazy parking. So glad its finally a one way.

All day today cars and trucks going the wrong way down Taft Avenue, Not single police car in site. No response from the city.. The few signs that are up are way to high no one can see them! The center for disabled large white trucks almost hit our mail man head on today because they are driving the wrong way..

Another example of someone who chose to disobey the One Way and Do Not Enter signs. These people sure have a lot of nerve don't they?

Doesn't the city usually hang temporary orange flags on the do not enter pole. To alert people of change of direction of street.

What's going on with the evaluation of extra do not enter one way signs on Taft Avenue does it honestly take the city this long to evaluate!!!! The signs are way too high people are still driving the wrong way down the road are we waiting for head-on collisions and then act!!!! The weather is getting nicer people are out walking and cars are still driving the wrong way come on Bill let's get up here and get those signs up.....

Wow seems Thinclad needs a new hobby other than chasing down and humiliating church goers, good work. That builds communality spirit. Possibility the one way if indeed warranted should have gone the other direction.

we all here an TAFT AVENUE. don't have a problem with the church, We just want to enjoy the nice weather and be able to safely walk down our street..... Just pay attention to the new traffic pattern and obey the signs.... since you obviously don't live on the street or in this area maybe you can spread the word to your other churchgoing friends!!!!!!! like it or not the city has deemed this street a one way heading west!!!!!!!

They definitely need one additional sign at the end of the parking lot, so folks leaving know they have to turn left. There are still people flying down the street driving the wrong way all weekend. It's pretty scary how little people pay attention to their surroundings - if they did they may notice the giant one way signs at each end of the street.

As for the "Taft st" person - no one here has a problem with the church our the folks who attend, those of us who live on the street would just like some general consideration and not to have to worry about getting hit by a speeding car driving the wrong way down our street or worry about our homes becoming inaccessible because our street is effectively blocked by cars parked on both sides of the road. We're not asking that you stop playing music, we're not complaining about your building demo making a mess, we don't complain about the garbage that doesn't get cleaned up in the lot, we're just asking that people be more considerate of safety issues.

Where are the POLICE ??? This is INCREDIBLE !! - "Hey Taft STREET person" Take Notice... This is why our neighborhood is up set!!! Just a little consideration would go a long way here. It's June 1st now, the street was changed back in April.... READ the sign. this is not new... what's the excuse now why people from the church are still driving down the wrong way ????????

I do understand somewhat the frustration. Yet I wonder why the direction of the ave (street) was not reversed as most of the "churchgoers" seem to exit down that "ave". I was taken aback a few days ago when a car driving from Western south on Homestead right front of me put on the brakes and with no signal did in fact make a left (wrong way) even after waiting for exiting cars, with all the signs clearly posted; they almost collided with a car exiting (properly) from Taft. No church person in that car, 5:30 on a Tuesday after work. So understanding about safety and bad driving habits aside, posting spy pics of offenders to me seems a bit much. Oh and by the way I have never been to that church in my life, actually I have never even driven down, or is it now up, your street (Ave). But I did read that the new neighbors G & A Kravitz lives on Taft somewhere. But seriously, why was the decision to have the traffic flow from east to west instead of the the other way around, seems as if the "Ave" is attempting to get salmon to reverse their normal migration.
