Description
I frequently watch cars behave as though they believe the right turn going Westbound on Otis is a protected FOR CARS right turn lane and at the last minute, at "speed" (often slow), have to swerve back to the original lane when they realize they won't fit, because it's a bike lane.
The fastest fix to this is green painted bike lanes. I don't understand why that isn't there, while the rest of the issues at this intersection are hammered out.

Thank you for reporting your concerns about street safety in Alameda. Your report will help inform the City of Alameda’s work to achieve our Vision Zero goal of eliminating traffic fatalities and severe injuries. We will use street safety reports, including yours, in combination with crash data and equity indicators to prioritize and design street safety investments. This evaluation will generally happen on an annual basis, with some exceptions for clear and pressing trends. Issues that the City deems to be immediate safety concerns will be elevated for quick action.
We will pass along your concerns to the Otis Safety Project team; they are gathering information for a review of the project six months post-construction.
