Description

Cars in the driveway at this address are forcing pedestrians, including those with strollers and wheelchairs, out into the street. The big SUV (License 7EVB014) is a constant offender.

This photo gives a better look at how the car blocks the sidewalk. There is no way a wheelchair can get through.

If you call parking enforcement at 510-238-3099 between 8:30 and 5:00 on Mon-Fri, a civilian parking enforcement employee is supposed to come out and ticket the offender.

Keep reporting it. I would recommend separate tickets every time they block the sidewalk so it documents how often it is happening. My neighborhood has had the same issue on Courtland with hostile people parking on Courtland Creek Park path and it is slowly getting better. Good luck

They may change the vehicle every day, but they're always violating the law. This one is 6UCZ335, and its plates expire at the end of the month.

The best way is to get the wheelchair people there and call OPD to have a case. This will take the owner to court and they'll have a big liable under Disabilities Act (ADA). Some commercial restaurant have lost big time with this type cases under ADA laws passed 1990.
