This pothole is about 1' x 2' and six inches deep (see picture). It blew out my tire and I had to get a new tire!

@JW and @CK, We are sorry to hear that you had to repair damages to your vehicle due to the potholes in the city, which is a huge problem right now. However, you can file a claim with the city and get reimbursed for your damages, which you can print of the form on this link: http://www.hartford.gov/images/TownClerk/notice_of_injury.htm
If not, you can go to the Town Clerk's office at Room 104 here at City Hall and fill out the form. Have the receipt of payment of your damages and pictures and the location of pothole.

I assume much of the pavement will be torn up soon. Is that why many of these issues have been allowed to accumulate?
