Description
I came home today to no water and shortly after while checking the mail, I found a notice tag on the front door which was NOT there last night. I'm almost certain I recall being told that affected residents should have at least a 24 hour notification for "Scheduled Maintenance", such as this case is. I do not normally use my front door as I park at the rear of my house, but I know for a fact that the tag was NOT there last night when I used the front door as I left the house when a friend picked me up at 8:30pm and when I returned shortly after 10:00pm. The notice says that my area will be affected "All Day"(still going as I write this) and that I should store water for drinking and sanitary purposes. Now, how the hell I'm I supposed to do that when I wasn't given adequate time to do so? Contrary to the beliefs of City workers, I DO have a job and it does not allow me to go home and check for notices that should have been there at least a day before. Normally, I just let these things run off my back because I know how this City works and I thought I had learned to deal with it, but if I'm going to be continuously dealing with things that directly affect my house and my family, Mr. Cotterill is going to have to beef up the door on his office. Hey, at least I'm decent enough to give ample notice.

last year they dug up ALL of my front yard, walk way and trees to replace a water line. I know it needs to be done, but do you need to leave your effin garbage all over whats left of our lawns? Shards of medal, old animal bones nails and timmys garbage just left everywhere.
Everyones path was ripped up and we were all left with a bloody muddy slippery walk to our cars for WEEKS. When contacted about this, public works told me "there are more important issues to deal with than you guys, your first on the list for next spring" next spring being right now. this happened in September.
Sorry but when I start a job, I finish it. Public works did fix everyones paths after many phonecalls and a personal visit from the director.

Sorry sir. Your address is smack in the middle of the emergency water main break that was reported on PaNow. I know you want to believe its incompetence, but there was no way to give notice for something that was not planned.
