Thanks. Yes I aware of this. My parents maintain their part of the easement by having their yard service mow and trim any unwanted brush that comes up. The area that concerns me is a concrete culvert in this easement that is cracked and broken so it is no longer draining properly therefore water collects and sits in this area. Also debris collects here and weeds/unwanted plants grow inside the broken concrete. They are unable to maintain this area. The other side of the culvert belongs to a neighbor and has become a dumping area for trash and debris from unknown parties.
Also a city employee did come out and look at the area. He threw a mosquito dunk in the drainage culvert and said he did not know who was responsible for maintaining the concrete culvert/drainage swale but he would look into it. He also said they would come back and clean up the other side of the culvert. We are waiting to see what happens next.
