Good Afternoon,
I am inquiring if fire hydrants in established residential areas need to maintain a 3 foot clearance around the circumference of the hydrant?
The property at 3832 E. Packard Drive has planted a larger bush and rock next to the fire hydrant.

8/24/21 Spoke with the homeowner at this time there is a three foot diameter clearance around the fire hydrant. Informed the homeowner that he shall be required to maintain the oleander bush as to not obstruct the fire hydrant and the three foot required to open the fire hydrant with a fire hydrant wrench. The homeowner stated that he will maintain the three diameter. The large rock is not an issue with opening of the fire hydrant.
Closed at this time no violations noted.
