Please let us know how this issue was resolved and what was done to make this path safer for Parkside?

Posting to the internet can only do so much. Please keep a cell phone on you at all times, and if you observe thugs being thuggish, loitering, or just generally making nuisances of themselves - simply call the police. If you are riding your bike, jogging, walking your dog after dark, I would also advise carrying a pistol. If thugs know that their neighbors are armed, they are sure to think twice before picking their next victim. This is not something one person needs to do, its something we need to do as a community. Remember: An armed society makes a civil society. The police are sure to be far away when you're in a situation where someone wants to do you harm. Take a shooting class, become comfortable with your firearm. We are not sheep, we are all adults here, and we responsibly own firearms for home defense and self protection. I'm not a gun nut, but people need to be aware of the fact that people exist in the world intending to do you and your family harm, should the opportunity arise. Don't give them that opportunity. Don't be a victim.

This bike path is an ongoing problem and the city needs to give it attention.
