I agree that this part of Childers is very bad. The "landscaping" of the rental home there has spilled out into the roadway, making the roadway very narrow (been this way for YEARS). Any time you turn onto Childers from North Druid Hills Road, there is ALWAYS a car coming out, which you have to avoid hitting. It is too dang dangerous there. Please, ask the Owner of that "house" to clean up the overgrowth. Brookhaven should not have to pay for this to be done. Although, Brookhaven should repave the road and install decent curbs. Thank you.

This is a problem that's been reported for year. I hope Brookhaven will finally do something about it. It's very dangerous turning in from NHD

Any update on this issue? The brush on opposing side of the street is so overgrown, you can hardly see the speed limit sign. I'm sure councilman Joe Gebbia can atest that this issue needs addressing. Please provide us an update. Thank you.

Status update?

It's in our system as work order number 1186. The City is going to install new curb on the south side of Childers Rd from North Druid Hills up until it connects with the current curb on the south side of the road. This will prevent the wash off from stormwater from eroding the road.

Thank you Brookhaven! This is a great avenue for allowing us to communicate our needs with the City, thank you. If you will post on here when the work is to be scheduled, I will happily share with the neighborhood to help decrease traffic.
