This is a very good suggestion. Since Crescent Street has been recently paved, which is great, more people seem to think it is a raceway. Any help for pedestrians would be wonderful.

I agree with Rebecca C. People crossing Crescent St from Bellevue need a safe pathway. The City should provide it.

One reason why we have speeders in Beaver Hills is that there is little to slow them down. We need a crosswalk on Crescent and maybe something else like curb cuts so that people don’t think they are driving on the Autobahn.

Cynthia, as far as I know, there never was a sidewalk in the early days in certain areas. Then, as the city infrastructure was built in our neighborhood, the exceptions were grandfathered in. @colin caplan. @ Doug Hausladen

Yes, this is something the neighborhood has needed for a long time. It is not safe to cross the street.

Yes, a sidewalk on the south side of Crescent Street sounds great. Another crosswalk does NOT sound great. Has anyone else looked at the area? There is a crosswalk 100 yards to the west at the corner of Crescent Street & Ella T Grasso Blvd. There's also another crosswalk 140 yards to the east at the corner of Crescent Street & Fournier Street.

Thanks Tommy! I agree that a sidewalk is a better idea, but I also realize that costs a lot more money and is logistically challenging. I live on Bellevue and walk across Crescent on a daily basis, often with 2 little kids in tow, and I just want a solution to this dangerous intersection for pedestrians.
