Hi,

The crosswalk and generally crossing the street are difficult on Chapel due to both drivers not yielding and due to speeding. This is a 25 mph zone but commonly traffic flows at 35 mph, including CT Buses.

Please consider adding curb extenders at the cross walk, adding road narrowing markings or planters in the East bound direction of Chapel between Olive and Academy Streets, and other measures to both improve pedestrian safety and to slow speeding traffic. These measures will not impair flow since flow is limited at both ends by traffic lights.
