We are looking at opportunities to install some greenery along Main Street and Boulder Drive as part of the Two-Way Conversion Project. However, the issue of trees in the sidewalk is complicated. They look very nice, provide shade, etc. but the root systems tend to destroy the sidewalk after only a few years.

That being said, we are looking at locations and installation methodologies that would allow for tree plantings to be more sustainable, and not create a maintenance issue for the City to deal with in the future.
