Parking is a major issue in Back Central. The LPD try to be fair and just in their actions regarding parking enforcement. I suspect that they may have cut the person some slack as this would be around Sunday Mass at St. Anthony's. If the same car parks there repeatedly, continue to report it as the PD does track these offenses. The Back Central Neighborhood Assosication meeting is held in the St. Anthony's Hall across from the church. The next meeting is June 19th at 7pm. Their is a sargent there at the meeting and others from the city. They are here to hear your complaints and concerns. Please join us.

My point being is that a fire engine could not make that turn in either direction should they need to in an emergency. I don't care if the person was at Mass or not. Saint Anthony's has a parking lot. The LPD needs to enforce the law fairly and evenly or else their credibility is undermined.

The SAME vehicle was parked in the SAME manner this morning. I called the LPD and apparently a ticket was issued. However I am most dismayed by the events of two weeks prior, and LPD ignoring my complaint. It makes me think that the LPD has only minimal concerns for the residents of the neighborhoods. Very disappointed in my city's government on this one. On the flip side, thank you to the officer that showed up this morning for doing his job.
