Description
Trail crew has built (or more precisely overbuilt) huge water bars across the trail between 127/Brook Drive & Ethan Allen Parkway. Almost caused a nasty crash riding with my kid to school. Have been riding this route for years, have never seen major issues with erosion that would justify such drastic & disruptive trail work, especially without any signage/warning. Lots of kids use this route to school, these really need to be mellowed out of someone is going to have a bad crash.

Thank you for your comments. Per your comments the slopes of the grade reversal (water bar) treatment, have been reduced. Flagging on either side of each treatment are being placed to draw attention to the new features. In the future we will ensure there is more prominent safety messaging/outreach to warn users.
These grade reversals will help address the long term integrity of this trail surface. We do apologize for not having appropriate notifications installed during the trail improvement project. Those processes have been updates and communicated to staff. ~Parks
