Great idea! Tie it in with the exist'g waterway park along Meridian in front of the Children's Advocacy Center.

Seeing people in a spectator sport would be awesome

get some more hungry/thirsty people downtown!

I think the areas under I565 could be useful for this as well, including basketball courts, places to roller skate and more.

Lighting, emergency call box, cameras would be ways to increase safety factor for pedestrian traffic to flow from downtown and Veterans Memorial to the Meridian corridor uptown. Tapping into the existing infrastructure adding greenway lights would also compliment the connection to Bud Cramer Park. Some landscaping, art or other amenities of benches, would increase the park-like factor from the memorial to Bud Cramer. A footbridge would provide better connection to the dog park and skate park as well.
