To whom,I’m Hoping, will be concerned.
There are several pot holes in front of the main entrance to Mass Eye and Ear. 71 Fruit St. Boston MA. I am a family member of a legally blind female patient of the above facility. We recently called for a cab to transport us to South Station and “Marie” (the patient) was being guided to the taxi and twisted her ankle on the edge of the large pothole. Marie suffered scraped knees, elbows and also hit her head.
There happened to be a ambulance right behind our taxi and the male and female EMT’s assisted immediately. They witnessed the mishap and the female driver of the ambulance said “These are the typical Boston Streets!” I say SHAME on Boston; especially on the street that runs directly in front of MEEI. There are countless patients who are visually impaired and do take taxi’s to and from the vicinity. Marie could have sought legal assistance due to her injuries but chose not to. She continues to complain of residual pain from the above incident.
PLEASE…PLEASE….fix this dangerous road that’s full of Pot Holes!!!!
