Thank you for your request regarding the traffic. Your comments have been forwarded to our Traffic Division to be addressed. For future concerns or requests please call our non-emergency phone number at 951-736-2330 option #3. If this is an emergency please do not report on SCF, instead call 911.
Thank you for utilizing See Click Fix to inform us about this possibly abandoned or illegally parked vehicle. We have assigned this issue to an officer to address. Please be advised, a California law was changed in 2019 and created an additional rule for police to remove vehicles, Assembly Bill 2876. This Bill does not allow for the towing/removal of vehicles off public city streets without a Community Care Taking need present. Please view our website at: https://www.coronaca.gov/government/departments/police-department/traffic, for more information about Community Care Taking and Parking and Towing Q&A’s. If you would like to speak with someone directly, please call the Police Traffic Bureau, Monday thru Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm at 951-736-2330 option 2. Thank you for helping to keep our streets safe.
Thanks for the update. Our Parking Enforcement went out yesterday and saw the vehicle was removed. For future reference, a shattered windshield alone would not fall under the community caretaking standard, which means we could not tow the vehicle. Other factors would need to be present. Thankfully, the vehicle was moved before our arrival. Take care, Lt. Fountain
