Today, crews installed a new valve at Autumn and Fairlawn street intersection which will allow for the replacement of the Hydrant within the intersection closer to the footbridge at the end of Fairlawn. This fire protection upgrade will be complete tomorrow and will enhance the levels of fire protection for the entire neighborhood. Unfortunately during this operation this process will disturb sediments within the pipeline in the street and could impact the aesthetics of your water in your home through discoloration. Simply run your cold water tap for several minutes until stream clears and returns to normal ( this may take several minutes). This secondary water issue does not impact the treatment techniques which keeps our water safe for consumption and use. If you have any concerns please reach out to me
