Dear Grankly -

Harbour Landing knows that it is responsible for maintaining safe public access to the Sound. The neighborhood association has tried numerous times to "work" with them but it is quite impossible.

SeeClickFix is intended to be the appropriate mechanism to let City Hall and LCI know of violations to the law and to building codes.

So my use of SCF to put pressure on LCI and New Haven city hall / public works to put pressure on Harbour Landing is entirely appropriate.

If Harbour Landing doesn't want the bad publicity or the fines and tickets (and possible stops on the issuance of building permits) then they should be responsible citizens and fix the public access walkway immediately.

I'd like to add to Karen's response and let everyone know that the neighborhood has reached out to the Harbour Landing Condominiums, numerous times. We have received no response.

Still not fixed. Wrote to my alderwoman Dolores Colon and never received a response.

Karen I just emailed a Newspaper company for you with your picture. I feel bad for you that you are asking politely for help or assistance and its being viewed clearly you can see that at the top of the page.Stay on it this if this is truly in your heart. Again I live in the area so I know exactly of where you speak of. Prayerfully someone will listen and acknowledge you keep posting. Also send this all in writing consider that.

Thank you for finding an article as well. Seeing that it makes since now. When you walk across the boat yard..The yacht club has chairs/tables now along the walk way and there sits a gate that states public access way and its locked..

Locking the gate is a serious violation of the rules.

I should mention that I e-mailed our Alderperson's office (Dolores Colon) several months ago with no response. She also hasn't been coming to our recent neighborhood events, we maybe should make a concerted effort to meet with her and make sure that she puts pressure on code enforcement in this part of the city.

@Karen Nakamura there is another meeting tomorrow I believe its the 3rd Wednesday@ Besty Ross arts magnet. Keep me informed if you do get a chance to meet with her..It may be out of her league..

Does anyone know whats going on with harbor landing public walkway? its still blocked off and the Yacht club has grills and etc blocking off the gate..

Still not fixed and made even worse over time.

Bigger issues over there that are taking priority over giving the public access to their pool.
