Ridiculous. Why can't people play basketball? Seems like a certain segment of the community is being targeted... While we're at it, when are the brand new basketball courts that taxpayers funded going to be opened at the Kennedy Longfellow? A lot of overreach here.

I agree with Concerned. It seems terrible that kids can't play basketball in the waning afternoon sunlight of fall. It's healthy, fun exercise; it's not staring at a computer screen or compulsively tapping TikTok; it's not destructive (self- or other-) behavior...what was this person thinking? Is there some rule against using a basketball court in the daylight?

Thank you for your comment. Just fyi, this is DHSP staff, not the school staff. We will reach out to the DHSP again. As soon as we receive their response, we will post it in this thread. Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience this is causing.

From DHSP: "WE did address this back in September when it was brought up. We will address this again with staff at the FMA site."
