  Presently signage and lane markings are lacking at this intersection. The improvements for the Sea Street corridor are nearing design completion and they include addressing the intersection at Sea Street and Quincy Shore Drive which is under the jurisdiction of DCR. Based on the traffic volumes collected by the engineers and designers, the middle lane will soon become a dedicated left-turn (complete with signage and lane markings) from Sea Street to Quincy Shore Drive. Additionally, new signals will be installed at the intersection.

  Ridiculous that the middle lane will become left hand turn. You immediately will have two cars fighting for one lane. Nothing but problems. I often wonder if the people that design this stuff have ever driven the roads they work on. Common sense goes a long way.
