Salem Fire has not received any alarm from the Collins Middle School. The fire alarm is wired directly into the department. If the fire alarm were to activate it would notify us immediately. We need someone to call 9-1-1 when this happens. We will investigate the issue. I will also notify the police to have them monitor this as well.

UPDATE: After speaking with Salem Police they advise they have been up at the school several times recently for the burglar alarm. The time frame sounds like what is being reported. Again please call 9-1-1 if you hear this alarm. The police do receive the notification from the alarm company that monitors the burglar alarm and do respond to investigate.
